The upscale mall opened in August 2001 and was the last enclosed mall built in Texas. It was designed to serve a predominantly upper-class clientele, and its original management team was highly selective in accepting tenants.
Approximately half of the original 107-acre mall will be torn down, but Dillard’s, Macy’s, and Neiman Marcus have committed to staying. Centennial plans to build a hotel, office space, and apartments in the redeveloped area.
